The loss of critical data and worker productivity due to network failures and system downtime is an expensive problem. Many SMBs already have some kind of backup system in place, but backup alone does not allow a firm to operate for the period of time between when the failure occurs and when data is restored and this can take days or longer. Over 3,000 SMBs currently utilize Axcient’s solution and in the event of a network or system failure, these SMBs can quickly and easily virtualize the damaged system(s) in the cloud and allow workers to access all their systems, applications, and data.

Axcient’s solution is built on Hewlett-Packard’s (HP) enterprise-class ProLiant server which works with Axcient’s proprietary cloud platform. There are no additional agents or software to install, allowing SMBs to set up the network and connect to the cloud in as little as 5 minutes. Multiple operating systems including Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux are supported, as well support for its critical applications such as Exchange Server, SQL server — on different devices such as laptops, desktops, and servers. The comprehensive solution transmits system data and applications to the cloud all in the background.

Axcient offers their solution as a subscription service, along with a separate hardware purchase or lease of the required Axcient appliance.
