Dean Cash

Dean Cash is Chairman and CEO of ATEL Capital Group, a San Francisco based financial services company that sponsors public and private alternative investment programs for individual and institutional investors. ATEL’s programs provide investors an opportunity to participate in the dynamic $1 trillion US equipment leasing industry. In addition, Mr. Cash owns a controlling interest in Hawaiian Building Maintenance, the largest Honolulu based building services company with approximately 600 employees.

Mr. Cash earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and math and an MBA from Florida State University. He is a member of the Florida State University Foundation’s Board of Trustees and a supporter of the College of Business, where he established a professorship in the Department of Finance, as well as The Cash Lecture Hall in Legacy Hall, the new college of business building.

Mr. Cash began at ATEL Capital Group in 1981 as the director of marketing and, within two years, became its executive vice president and a director. In 2001, he purchased a majority interest in ATEL and became its Chairman and CEO. Under his leadership, ATEL has become a multi-billion dollar financial services company providing equipment leasing to Fortune 1000 U.S. corporations. Before joining ATEL, Mr. Cash began his career as a systems engineer with Electronic Data Systems (EDS). He later worked for General Electric Corporation, installing computerized patient records systems around North America and later sold computer services for GE’s GEISCO division.

Mr. Cash serves on the board of directors of the Gangagen Corporation, a biotech company researching new treatments for antibiotic-resistant MRSA bacteria (www.gangagen.com). He is also active within the nonprofit community of San Francisco, where he serves on the Board of Governors of the San Francisco Symphony. In the spring of 2015, Mr. Cash was inducted into the Florida State University College of Business Hall of Fame where he was recognized for his professional accomplishments and community contributions (Hall of Fame video).

He and his wife Eliza established the ATEL Foundation in 2012, a private philanthropic organization dedicated to providing funding to organizations that seek to better the lives of citizens in their respective communities.

Paritosh K. Choksi

Pari Choksi joined ATEL Capital Group as a Director, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 1999. In 2001, Mr. Choksi was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Over the last decade, Mr. Choksi has been instrumental in the institutional fundraising and expanded ATEL’s global market. Mr. Choksi also oversees the Venture group as well as all aspects of Accounting, Finance, Information Technology and Human Resources for the company. Prior to joining ATEL, Mr. Choksi worked for Wink Communications Inc. as the Chief Financial Officer and had a 20-year tenure with Phoenix American Incorporated, where he held various positions including Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Director.

Mr. Choksi is the Lead Independent Director of Syntel, Inc., (a NASDAQ listed company) a U.S.-based multinational provider of integrated technology and business services. Mr. Choksi holds a Bachelor of Technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay, and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.

Mr. Choksi is the founding member of IIT Bombay Heritage Foundation and was instrumental in setting up the first US based non-profit organization for a university in India. He received the Distinguished Service Award for his contribution in this endeavor from IIT Bombay. He has also served as a Director for International House at the University of California, Berkeley. In March 2017, he received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from IIT Bombay for outstanding achievements in the fields of Entrepreneurship and Corporate Leadership.

Vasco Morais

Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary, ATEL Capital Group

Vasco Morais serves as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and manages ATEL’s legal department. Mr. Morais and his team provide in-house legal support on the documentation of direct and leveraged lease transactions, venture leasing, managed programs, corporate finance, fund formation, capital markets and general corporate matters.

Prior to ATEL, Mr. Morais was employed by the B.A. Leasing & Capital Company, Bank of America’s equipment leasing subsidiary. Before that he was with the Consolidated Capital Companies in the Corporate and Securities Legal Department.

Mr. Morais holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley and a joint JD/MBA (Finance) degree from Golden Gate University. Mr. Morais is an active member of the State Bar of California and has served as Co-Chair of the California State Bar Association, Business Law Section, Uniform Commercial Code Committee. He has authored various publications and presented at speaking engagements on both the UCC and equipment finance. Mr. Morais is a fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers and serves on the Boards of several non-profit organizations.

Timothy H. Holmes

Director, Institutional Sales

Mr. Holmes is a Director of Institutional Sales and a senior investment professional with over 27 years of investment industry experience. Mr. Holmes is responsible for sales and business development activities with institutional investors and consultants. He also directs marketing initiatives to institutions and administrative functions.

Prior to joining ATEL, Mr. Holmes was responsible for investment in hedge funds and private equity at SF Sentry Investment Group, a San Francisco based multi-family office for private wealth management. In addition, he has been a Managing Director at Coast Asset Management, a multi-billion dollar hedge fund management company and a leading fixed income arbitrage manager.

Prior to Coast, Mr. Holmes served as a Client Portfolio Manager at Nuveen Asset Management where he was responsible for product management, client communications and business development of the taxable fixed income products. Previously he was a Managing Member of Ascendant Capital Partners, a long/short fund of hedge funds, where he was responsible for business development, sourcing investment managers and due diligence. In addition, Mr. Holmes was with John A. Levin & Co., where he held several key positions in Business Development and at Robertson Stephens as Vice President. Prior to his financial services career, Mr. Holmes served as an Officer in the United States Navy (active and reserve) from 1986 to 2002, where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander.

Mr. Holmes received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of California, Davis and currently holds FINRA licenses 63, 65, 7 and 79.

Thomas Monroe

Thomas Monroe joined ATEL as a portfolio manager in the asset management department and currently serves as Senior Vice President, ATEL Equipment Services (AES). Mr. Monroe is responsible for ATEL's asset management department, including residual valuation, due diligence, equipment inspections and negotiating renewal and remarketing for ATEL's portfolio.

Prior to joining ATEL, Mr. Monroe was employed by GE Capital for 6 years as a portfolio manager in the computer leasing division. Mr. Monroe was responsible for re-marketing off-lease DASD and magnetic tape storage equipment.

Mr. Monroe holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.

Steven Rea

Steven Rea serves as President of ATEL Growth Capital (AGC). Mr. Rea is responsible for managing all sales and business development activities for AGC.

Prior to joining ATEL, Mr. Rea managed the venture leasing department for the emerging growth divisions at Imperial Bank (now Comerica) and LINC Capital, Inc. Mr. Rea also worked as an account executive and later Vice President of Business Development at Interlease Group Ltd., a diversified financial services company specializing in financing for venture backed companies. Mr. Rea also has a background with Automatic Data Processing as a senior district sales manager.

Mr. Rea holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in finance from San Diego State University as well as an MBA from St. Mary’s College.

Samuel Schussler

Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer, ATEL Capital Group

Samuel Schussler serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, ATEL Capital Group (ACG). Mr. Schussler is responsible for financial reporting, interface with external auditors, SEC registrations, and for Sarbanes-Oxley risk analysis/ documentation and compliance.

Prior to joining ATEL, Mr. Schussler served as Senior Vice President of Finance for Velocity Express Corporation. Prior to Velocity, Mr. Schussler was employed as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of New Century Packaging LLC. He was also employed as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Biogenex Laboratories.

Mr. Schussler received his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Pace University as well as an M.B.A. in Finance from the New York University, Graduate School of Business Administration. He was granted licensure as a C.P.A. in New York and in Arizona.

Russ Wilder

Executive Vice President, Chief Credit Officer, ATEL Capital Group

Russell Wilder serves as Chief Credit Officer, ATEL Capital Group (ACG). Mr. Wilder is responsible for all credit analysis and financial investigation performed for ATEL's public and private fund transactions, and the ongoing due diligence review of the lessees or debtors.

Prior to joining ATEL, Mr. Wilder specialized in personal property brokerage for equipment leasing/financing as well as outside credit and collections contracting. Mr. Wilder had numerous assignments at Westinghouse Credit, Wells Fargo Leasing and Fireside Thrift Co. He was awarded the Certified Lease Professional designation by the United Association of Equipment Leasers.

Mr. Wilder holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Davis.
